COLORS SWING

Synopsis: The colors of the swing- is an experimental animation made in stop motion technique. We hear the music of Rex Stewart and his Orchestra- Fat Stuff Serenade, and then the colors pop out to the rhythm of swing music. The abstract elements, which are dancing in front of us, are multicolored forms, patch and colored glass. The animation itself, seems to be a result of improvisation in which the author freely plays with color and shape.

Synopsis: Original designs, based on the same shape, meet for the first time under the dome. "Surroundings" is a graduation project combining 3D animation and history of furniture design, created to test how educational show, different from traditional topics presented in planetariums, will find itself in this institution. Chairs are a part of our everyday life, but often go unnoticed - we use them, but don't think about the form or inspirations behind the concept. The circle is a leitmotiv between the shape of the spherical screen and the design of chosen furnitures from the last 160 years.

Synopsis: Kaleidoscope of Toruń is a short animation inspired by the beauty of one of the oldest Polish cities. Captivating Gothic architecture was reconstructed using fulldome technology which consisted of consolidating hundreds of images of the Old Town of Toruń. Admire the natural beauty of rivers, forests surrounding the city and travel throughout changing seasons of the year.


INTENSIONAL PARTICLE DOME INSTALLATION

Synopsis: When waterfalls and rivers are seen from afar, they seem to maintain static forms; yet, when one zooms into them in a microscopic level, they consist of ceaseless motions such as swells, waves and vortex. Based on this concept, Umeda reinterprets the particles in space not as static molecules but as active particles. It visualizes the intensional force generated from Umeda’s physical movement. Originally created as a dance work, Intensional Particle has been recreated into a dome installation.
